Is climate change real?

Post by Bert »

Hey guys, just wondering, is climate change really real or is it just another way for the elites to control us? You know, like they did during the pandemic and lockdown? :)

I know it is an old age question but just wanted to get everyone's thoughts on this! 8-)

Are you serious right now? Do you really think that climate change is just some made-up conspiracy theory? I mean, sure, the elites may have used the pandemic and lockdown as a way to control us, but that doesn't mean that climate change isn't real and isn't costing people their lives.

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize that you were such an expert on climate change. Did you go to some fancy left-wing university where they brainwashed you into believing this stuff?

So now anyone who believes in climate change is just brainwashed and can't think for themselves? Is that what you're saying?

No, of course not. I just think that there's a lot of misinformation out there and I want to make sure that I'm getting all the facts before I make a decision. :geek:

Well, if you want the facts, then maybe you should actually do some research instead of just spouting off nonsense on an online forum. The overwhelming majority of scientists agree that climate change is real and is causing serious damage to our planet.

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize that you had a monopoly on the truth. Maybe you should just chill out and stop trying to force your beliefs on other people.

Force my beliefs on other people? Are you kidding me? You're the one who's trying to deny the reality of climate change and the damage it's causing to our planet. It's people like you who are putting our future at risk.

Oh, please. You sound like some kind of eco-fascist who wants to control every aspect of our lives. Why don't you just go live up a tree and leave the rest of us alone?

Eco-fascist? Really? Is that the best you can do? I'm just someone who cares about the future of our planet and wants to make sure that we're doing everything we can to protect it. But I guess that's too much to ask from someone like you who only cares about their own selfish interests.

What are you talking about? I just want to make sure that we're not being manipulated by the elites who want to control us.

Yeah, because saving the planet and preventing the extinction of countless species is just a ploy for the elites to control us. I'm sure they're just sitting in their ivory towers laughing at all of us for caring about the environment. :?

I'm not a conspiracy theorist, I just have a healthy dose of skepticism. For example just look at the recent pandemic and the lockdowns, the lockdowns did more harm than good. More people died of other illnesses and suicide than from the virus itself. So forgive me for being skeptical about the government's ability to solve problems.

Oh yes, because the government is always wrong and we should just ignore scientific research and evidence. I'm sure you have a PhD in climate science and know more than the thousands of experts who have been warning about the dangers of climate change for years.

I never said I know more than the experts, I just don't trust the government to handle the issue properly. IMO the whole climate change thing is just a way for leftists to push their socialist agenda and take away our freedoms. I mean, what's next? A ban on hamburgers or using a car completely?

Wow, just wow. I can't reason with you can I? Climate change is costing people their lives and you're worried about your precious hamburgers and cars. Maybe you should take a trip to the Amazon rainforest and see the devastation firsthand instead of spewing nonsense online.

I'm not denying that climate change exists, I just think we should focus on finding market-based solutions instead of relying on government intervention. And by the way, those rainforests are being destroyed by leftist policies that favor renewable energy over traditional fossil fuels.

Market-based solutions? Are you kidding me? The only market solution that's going to work is if the government puts a price on carbon and incentivizes companies to reduce their emissions. And if you think renewable energy is the problem, then you are truly delusional. I'm done arguing with you, I have better things to do than waste my time with someone who is so blind to reality. πŸ™„πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ’©
