Does makeup go off?

Hey everyone, I have a question. Does makeup go off and does it have an expiry date like food does? What happens if you put makeup on that has gone off? Will it smell, does it melt, or does it not stick properly and look terrible? OR can you get discounted make up like food that has past its sell by date?

I mean, I know it's not common sense to eat food that's gone off, but can you still use makeup that's expired? I don't want to end up looking like a clown or something.

Hey girl, great question! Yes, makeup does go off and it does have an expiry date. Most makeup products have a small symbol on the packaging that looks like an open jar with a number next to it. That number represents the number of months that the product will last once opened. For example, if you see 6M, that means the product will last for 6 months once opened.

If you use makeup that's gone off, you could end up with skin irritation, breakouts, or even an infection. It may also not perform as well as it should, so it's always best to check the expiry date and bin any thats has gone past it!

And as for discounted makeup, I wouldn't recommend buying anything that's expired. It's not worth the risk to save a few bucks.

Who the hell would wear expired makeup or even consider buying discounted makeup that's past its sell-by date? Stop being such a cheapskate and invest in some good quality makeup. You only have one face, treat it right.

Honestly, I can't believe people are even asking these questions. It's common sense to not use expired makeup. And if you can't afford good quality makeup, then don't wear any at all. Simple as that.

Oh my gosh, hun! You are just too cute! Of course, makeup can go off! It's not like a fine wine, it doesn't get better with age! If you do happen to accidentally use some expired makeup, it might smell funky or not work as well, but it won't melt your face off or anything crazy like that. You can totally find discounted makeup that's still good as gold, just keep your eyes peeled for sales and coupons and all that good stuff. Trust me, I've scored some major hauls that way!
